Erika’s Questions for me:

1.  When you get stuck in traffic (no matter what side of the road you are driving) how do you react?

Overall, I am pretty patient, and this scenario does not generally bother me.  I don’t enjoy it, but I understand it.  There have been a few occasions where I have gotten stuck in traffic when I had places to be and people to pick up.  This stress, knowing that someone else was depending on me for a ride, got me a bit agitated.  I didn’t go into a full blown rage like some, but I became a little more aggressive on the road while trying to get to my destination.  I have a bit of a lead foot to begin with, and I have learned to pick my “holes” while driving.  If I see a hole, I slide right in.  Momentum and timing is what driving is all about.

2.  What is your favorite time of the day?

My favorite time of the day is dusk.  My husband, Rusty and I used to sit outdoors and watch the children play and enjoy the setting sun.  The kids don’t really “play” anymore, and my business/blog has taken over my attention in the evenings, as I have been trapped at work all day.  It has become the only time of day where I can make any progress with my endeavors.  Another reason this is my favorite time of day is because this is when my creative mind comes to life.  My brain is alive and bursting at the seams, ready to engage in some form of creative release.  Unfortunately, during the work week, this is also the time that I have to regretfully jot down notes of my project ideas and get ready for bed, in hopes that I can work on these ideas once the weekend rolls around.  I long for the day when I can wake up, and go straight to my projects, knowing that I am not trapped by time.  I despise turning away my God-given talent to accommodate a mediocre job.  One day soon, things will change for me.  I feel it.

3.  What kind of vacation do you like the most (adventure, beach, educational…)?

My favorite vacation destination is the beach.  When I feel the salt in my hair and the sand between my toes, I know that I am finally home.  Being born in Florida, I spent most every weekend in the waves.  I miss it terribly!  Ready to move back home…

4.  What is your favorite activity on a sunny summer day?

It’s been so long since I’ve actually been able to enjoy a sunny summer day, I’m not really sure how to respond?  I know that I used to live at the pool, so I guess this would be my chosen activity.  Pack a little lunch, jam to some fun tunes, and picnic poolside with my favorite people in the world; creating memories that will last a lifetime.

5.  What is your favorite activity on a cold and snowy winter day?

Cold, no.  Snowy, forget about it!  Not interested in either of these.  I mean, here it is, mid-summer and I’m wearing bluejeans and a hoodie while I write this.  When it’s cold out, I long for the moment when I can crawl into my bed and snuggle in close to my husband.  He radiates heat like a furnace, and he always cradles my feet with his feet, and my hands with his hands to warm me.  What other man would do that?!  I am SO lucky to have this wonderful man in my life!  I adore you Rusty!

I am a Floridian and I love the snow (in small bursts admittedly). Snowmobiling, tubing and just being out in the crisp temp….love it!

I didn’t used to mind it. When I lived in Germany we had to keep our windows open to prevent the walls from molding…talk about cold! But the older I get, the more the cold weather bothers me. If I didn’t have hubby’s coveralls, I don’t know what I would do! You ought to see me, it’s quite the sight!
